The Red Bull Ring circuit has a long history: it was opened in 1969! At the time, it's called Circuit de Spielberg, or Österreichring. This circuit was renovated and redesigned in 1995 by the German architect Hermann Tilke. And most importantly, in 2008, the circuit is the subject of a complete reconstruction. So this is a brand new circuit, which takes the name of Red Bull Ring. Located in the Austrian Alps, in a beautiful setting, the Red Bull Ring circuit hosts the Austrian Motorcycle Grand Prix since 2016.
The track, perfectly secure according to current standards, offers unevenness, with climbs and descents. The circuit Red Bull Ring alternates a part with curves that are taken very quickly and pins that will require heavy braking ... The circuit is 4,318 km long, and has 10 turns: 7 on the right, 3 on the left.
Practical information for riding at the Red Bull Ring circuit
